What should I pack for a Belize retreat?

Pack light! You will spend most of your time in bathing suits or yoga/wellness clothes. Casual attire is appropriate for dining at our resorts but dont forget a hat, sunscreen, sandals, water shoes, and a light sweater for the evening. No need to pack your yoga supplies, we have all you need at the resort.

Do the resorts have 110-volt outlets, or will I need a converter?

No converter is needed. The resorts have 110-volt outlets which are the same outlets as the United States.

Do I need a passport to travel to Belize?

A valid passport is all that is required for citizens of Australia, Britain, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, United States, Venezuela, and CARICOM member states, as well as nationals of the European Community. Belize requires citizens from certain other countries to have an entry visa.

Who schedules the in-country transportation?

We handle all in-country transportation. Just provide us with your international flight times, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Do I need to bring my own yoga supplies?

No, we provide mats, blocks, straps, and blankets. Please leave room in your suitcase if you have any additional equipment you'd like to bring.

Do I need to exchange my currency?

No need to exchange currency. The USD is widely accepted in Belize.

What is Belize’s time zone and language?

Belize is on Central Standard Time. However, we do not have daylight savings. That means we have no time change in the summer months. During those months we are on Mountain Standard Time. English is the official language, though nearly half the population speaks Spanish. Other languages spoken include Garifuna (Carib), Maya, Creole, and a German dialect used by the Mennonites.

Is there WiFi or cell service?

Most properties we partner with offer WiFi on the property and even within the rooms. Please refer to the resort website for more information on WiFi availability. Cellular service is generally available in Belize; however, the signal can be inconsistent.

How does tipping work?

All rates and activities include a service charge. Tipping is customary in Belize, and 10-15% is standard. As always, tipping is at your discretion. During checkout, you can leave a cash tip or tip on your credit card.
